Hello,

Not sure if you already know.. but from approx Sept. 1 Coke Zero will now be available on QF services, replacing half of the Diet Coke on board. I am sure a few of you will be very excited by that :D

Not sure how catering operations work, so it may not be available straight away, but in Crew bases all around the network, mini fridges full of free coke zero have been installed to let all crew know it is available. :p

Hope this pleases all of you, especially those who think that 'Diet' something is not for men :D (only kidding)

Cheers

I know it was mentioned in a thread at some point as I’m having déjà vu, but I can’t remember which thread, and with search down, I’m not game to search through google to find out ;)

It’s apparently a good change though, many were happy if I recall correctly.

Bah, they should just replace the lot with Pepsi Max.

Pepsi Max > Diet Coke > Coke Zero > Coke > Pepsi > Diet Pepsi, IMO. :)

It took a shot of Morphine for me to get rid of my Diet Coke addiction and I am never going back.I would put Coke Zero in the same class of addictive drinks
Too much can affect your everything so it was good riddance 16 years ago to Diet Coke.
Usually you cannot go to wrong with water.
Try to drop it and see just how addicted you are.

At the Qantas show in CBR last week I spoke to the QF staff and mentioned that I thought there should be another diet drink, either lemon or lemonade. Their response was there there were lots of demands and that if they were introduced something would have to be dropped.

I suggested alcohol noting that I am a teetotaller. We all had a good laugh at how well that would go down. :p

I have just decided to drop Coke Zero from the diet and you are correct, it is bloody hard to give up.

I have been a Diet Coke and Coke Zero drinker for 20+ years as the sugar in coke gives me a headache but damn it is hard to stop drinking it.

I will struggle on however.

Reminds me of a charter flight out of a mine site when the pax drank the plane dry of most booze & mixer drinks. There were a few miniature bottles left of spirits & one enthusiast enquired "have you got any orange juice - I'll show you how to make a canecutter"! :D

I think the ladies outdid the blokes in the drinking stakes although possibly because the miniatures when straight into the handbag!

l'm trying to stay off all of those sugar free drinks. Aspartame gives me a major headache, every time l have a "sugar free" drink which is substituted with Aspartame or one of it's sisters, l get an headache.

What gives you a bigger headache - aspartame or webjet? ;) Did your folks get their refund from 'that' trip?

haha. Good one.

Aspartame from soft drinks, so l just try to stay on water (or beer :)).

They got a refund from Webjet (paid out on the second booking they had to make as it was more expensive than the original booking) because there were 2 changes made in the lead up to the departure, but they were only informed about 1 of the date/time changes.

The push from CCA to "Zero for men, Diet COke for women" must be working after I asked for a Diet coke BNE-SYD on firday, and was told "we have coke zero now, would you prefer that".

A Question for 737 - have they (Coke) done any presentations / left marketing materials (other than the cans in the drinks fridge)?

I always thought that the ASPARTAME was great for killing the rat in me while I was addicted 16 years ago.
Now the rat in me runs free.

Well I'll be.... Had it on my flight today. I hadn't worked in a couple of days so didn't know it had started to circulate the network :)
:D
