Good luck with the flights Pooch -I have a nasty feeling I will be soft landing from SG to PS at the end of March . Been SG for many years but this year there has been less flying than usual and will not be able to make up the 100 SC needed in the time. Oh well, c'est la vie!

100! Lift your game Dame. Trot across the ditch and experience Emirates F on the way back.

Thought of that but too much on in the next month so don't think it will happen :(

Yeah. Life gets in the way sometimes. My status run booked last week is now in the trash can. Will be joining you in silver land assuming a soft landing.

We could have had a day FLounging together Dame. :(

Would be nice if the QF system got better, say if a QF FF member is 50 off SG requal of 600, say, get to 550, that they get to retain SG.

Ridiculous. That is basically saying you would want the SG requalification to be 550 and not 600.

How would that make the QF system "better"?

When some do get to retain, with so much of a difference, between 340 and 600, and I am Daniel, with 6 to 7 years of SG, then not flying that much, and down to PS.
In comparison to PuppySparks.

Because raw SC numbers do not always come into it. Each customer has a "value" to QF based on spending habits, fares paid, amount of QF spend vs partners etc etc etc and this will determine how they may allocate comps (or not).

Frankly there should be no second guessing QF. I understand you want the benefit for the least effort, but if you WANT the Gold benefits, then you need to do it the hard way and not rely on the hope that it's granted. If you only attain (for example) your stated 550 and not 600 and do NOT get another year of Gold you'd have absolutely zero right to be pissed off about it in my view because there should be no expectation of such things happening.

So, plan and fly to get the SC's if you wish to retain status. Relying on it happening if you fall short, just because some others have (and others have not) seems foolish to me and could very well end in disappointment.

my 2 cents.

Pushka, dare I put a paw in, maybe a call to the Platinum line to explain might help you keep at the upper Echelon of QFF.
Edit: ah, you are SG too, thought you were WP/P1.
Paw out.

That would be MrP as WP.
Still I do quite like my gold!
