I hope the pilot knows whether heading to NZ or Tasmania

The return of the $100 mistery flight (oops, that's now three smilies on the post).Kiwi Flyer said:I hope the pilot knows whether heading to NZ or Tasmania
But for JohnK they would be willing to make it a one-way mistery flight. There was significant interest in such a product, with a large number of enquiries made before Mothers Day by men looking for the perfect gift for their Mothers-In-Law.Kiwi Flyer said:Given the level of levies, a $100 mystery flight might only be SYD-NTL.

Does it really matter? As long as I get to one or the other, or somewhere away from here.Kiwi Flyer said:I hope the pilot knows whether heading to NZ or Tasmania
I will know exactly where I am going so no mystery really.NM said:The return of the $100 mistery flight(oops, that's now three smilies on the post).

If you had read the earlier post then you would have realised that taxes and charges are not included in $100 voucher. So I don't really care as long as I get $100 off any flight.Kiwi Flyer said:Given the level of levies, a $100 mystery flight might only be SYD-NTL.
No Mystery at all.NM said:But for JohnK they would be willing to make it a one-way mistery flight. There was significant interest in such a product, with a large number of enquiries made before Mothers Day by men looking for the perfect gift for their Mothers-In-Law.
Now lets see ....JohnK said:Does it really matter? As long as I get to one or the other, or somewhere away from here.
I am 99% sure that you can also use this voucher at any travel agency.JohnK said:The procedure is to fax the voucher to QF Travel store, call them to verify which flights are required, pay the difference in airfare that voucher does not cover with credit card, send voucher to QF by post. No need to visit QF Travel store. It is as simple as that. My $100 is spent already on either a flight to NZ or Tasmania.
Not sure! I was told Qantas Travel store only. More than likely will be used on an airfare SYD-WLG/CHC but should not be too difficult to use with Qantas travel store.DPG said:I am 99% sure that you can also use this voucher at any travel agency.
Essentially a QF Travel Voucher is just a MCO (Miscellenous Charge Order).
Not sure if you have used it or not, but may make it a little bit easier to use!

Qantas Gift Vouchers
We are pleased to present you with a Qantas gift voucher. This voucher can be used at any Qantas travel store. Locations and conditions of use are explained overleaf.
Should you be unable to visit one of the Qantas Travel stores, call 1 800 652 534 or (02) 9951 4222. However, pleaase be aware the Qantas travel store must receive this gift voucher before any travel product can be utilised.

Yes voucher looks like a paper ticket.DPG said:JohnK does the voucher look a little like a ticket? If it does, than you should be able to use it at any travel agency. QF are just being a little sneaky by saying it has to be used at a Qantas Travel Store.
JohnK said:Yes voucher looks like a paper ticket.
I guess the bottom line is that can only be used on Qantas products or services.
Thanks for that information. It is nice to know that i can use voucher at a travel agency. I have until next April to use it anyway so plenty of time.DPG said:100% sure that you can use this at any travel agency. When they issue the ticket, they just need to use the voucher nuber (MCO number) as a credit towards the ticket, quite an easy process. It can be used for QF Air or QF Holidays, but probably not DeathStar.
JohnK said:Considering I now buy my SE Asian tickets from QF Singapore is it any advantage in using it at a travel agency? I need to be in CHC on 26th/27th January 2007 so I am waiting around for a special airfare SYD-CHC or even SYD-WLG-CHC to use the voucher. The return airfare will be from AKL so I will use LAN for AKL-SYD.
You are partially correct. The booking fee is not waived if it is a normal gift voucher, but when it has been provided by Qantas Customer Care, the booking fee is waived.Mal said:I believe the offline booking fee is waived when using a voucher towards a booking.
No booking fee is payable. It has been confirmed by both customer care and Qantas Travel store.odoherty said:You are partially correct. The booking fee is not waived if it is a normal gift voucher, but when it has been provided by Qantas Customer Care, the booking fee is waived.
So JohnK, you should not be slugged the booking fee.
It is a shame your voucher expired but I plan to use mine next month and it does not expire until May 2007. The good thing about the voucher is I do not need to visit the Qantas travel store, just fax them the voucher before making booking.waltervp said:Funny to hear that. I was once the lucky winner of a $50 voucher many years ago. I had the same restrictions, and went to a Qantas travel agent in the end and had to make something like 3 trips out of my way for it and somehow they had stuffed up and not entered the voucher... Eventually it expired on me....
