The options were 35K (Y to Y+) or 55K (Y to J) points.
I'll copy the wording soon - I have just purchased (today) a new laptop and am having "fun" getting it to connect to my office and home emails. If the email had come today, I wouldn't even know it was there

What was the total points deducted? It would have only be the 55,000 from whY to J LAX/SYD not 80K? :?:

Methinks 80K was the reference to the whY seat being given up :)

EF is now showing F5 A4 J9 C8 D2 I1 W0 R0 T0 Y0 B0 H0 K0 M0 L0 G0 E0

I would suggest Y oversold, hence the attempt to get some points burnt by Pax before giving away op ups.
