QF/EK questions

Hello AFF!!

I have been a reader for quite a while, glad to finally be a member.

With the Qantas Emirates Alliance started, I have been looking at joining QP so I have a few questions:
1) Would I be able to get the benefits out of QP (extra baggage, lounge access) whilst earning miles under my skywards account, or I must have the QFF number in the booking before being able to use QP?
2) Does QP also get you into the lounge in Dubai Concourse B?
3) Does having an A380 flight guarantee that I would be going through Concourse A in Dubai?
4) Is it possible for some non-A380 flights to be going through Concourse A?

If your on an A380 with EK or QF its concourse A, and there are non A380 aircraft using Concorse A a present.

Yes- I saw quite a few 777s at concourse A yesterday. I think this might change as EK gets more and more of the A380 delivered- it's a monstrous facility so no wonder they currently can't fill it with A380s only. I mean monstrous in a rather impressed and not a bad way- it's just so huge :shock:

The system will give allowances based on the FF number in the booking. What I would suggest if you want to credit to Skywards but enjoy QP benefits is to check in as a QP member then go to the lounge and get them to change the FF program and number.
