I booked 2 QF MEL-NRT-MEL tickets on Friday night & received the email within 10 minutes

ahhhhh, might have found something...

Booked 3 domestic legs in the past 2 weeks, no email until I rang several days later on each account... At the same time booking one of the domestic legs, an international return flight was booked, and a confimation email and tax invoice arrived within 5-10 minutes for the intl booking only???

Maybe they pick on Velocity members :lol:
What, to discourage them even further from using Qantas? It's working with me! :)

Well, the e-tickets finally arrived at 4:55am and 4:47am on Saturday, almost 13 hours after the booking. Curiously, they are titled Duplicate E-Ticket Itinerary, Receipt and Tax Invoice. The text e-tickets were also titled "duplicate" so who knows what happened to the original. Still, 13 hours is better than some have reported in this thread. But Virgin Blue still wins in terms of being prompt with their confirmation emails. ;)

EDIT: I am still working through my inbox and just found two more sets of e-tickets from QF - one set timestamped Sat at 4:49pm and 4:50pm and another on Sunday at 4:26am and 4:28am. All titled "duplicate".

Yes, they do have email problems!!!

I ticketed next week's DAS13 to hkg/pvg/nrt at about 10AM yesterday and was assured that the email would be with me in 30 mins... that was 26 hours ago...

I just rang QF about the lack of eticket for the flight that I booked last Friday. They told me that QF were having email problems, and they have manually sent it to me. From the above posts, it seems random as to who gets and who doesn't get emails...at laest they are aware of the problem:shock:

So it's still no better?

I've just booked myself and a colleague on SYD-WGA return flights for next Tuesday. One hour later and still nothing in my inbox. :(

You'd think they'd have something like this fixed before now.

Just booked four red-e-deals at about 11:50AM and got the email at 11:59AM

Yay - the emails arrived at 2:55pm, so it took a bit under 3 hours all up. I'm glad they came through but it still seems a bit extreme for an electronic system. :!:

I did a red-e-deal booking this afternoon and it took all of four minutes for my email to arrive.

A few days ago I booked some red e-deal specials for April and the email arrived right after I confirmed the booking.

Yep, ditto here. My confirmation for a flight booked Fri night arrived minutes after paying.

Ditto here (a few minutes), though I upgraded both legs of the booking straight after making it, and the e-ticket receipt arrived showing only the first leg upgraded. Checking the booking shows both legs upgraded so I guess it was just a timing issue.

For domestic flights within NZ (e.g. AKL/WLG vv and AKL/CHC vv) it's always arrived no more than 5 minutes after making the booking. Never had any problems over the last few years.

Like many of you I can use the frequent flyer site to check my bookings anyway.
