But it's all fake news anyway - people connecting from other ports on the same flight are checked-in - their bags are sitting somewhere. Why can't mine join them?
Well maybe if they spent less on building carparks and more on their core business of "running an airport"..... oh wow can't believe I said that!Ask MEL Airport. They are the ones enforcing the restriction, not the airlines. Apparently there's limited space to store checked luggage...
We have to remember the airport leases have all been handed over to property developers who just happen to have invested in land which has an airport on it.Well maybe if they spent less on building carparks and more on their core business of "running an airport"..... oh wow can't believe I said that!
Will I get banned permanently for speaking ill of MEL?
Yeah yeah I know... doesn't make me feel any better though :-(We have to remember the airport leases have all been handed over to property developers who just happen to have invested in land which has an airport on it.
They are more concerned about squeezing another DFO in somewhere than they are about airport operations.

Well you never know..... I received what was akin to death threats when I said AA was good...I'd be shocked if you found anyone who disagreed with you.
No in SYD it should be fine as long as your international flight is leaving the same day.MEL must need space for baggage intenational connections. Arrive at 6 am, left at 10 am and bags transferred automatically. Does MEL apply it for people with international connections? When travelling domestic to Sydney for an international flight with a 6 hour Sydney stopover ( i hadmeetings before the international flight), I was advised that I may have to collect my bags in Sydney as Sydney may not like to keep my bags for such a long time, however the bags wre checked through. Was that a close call?
