QF F Lounge AKL

Should Q have to offer a FLounge if EK offers the F service or is it just a nicety ?

It's not as if the EK lounge is at the other end of the terminal, it's right next to the QP.

The F lounge both in AKL and BNE have existed without F services for some time before the EK tie up was announced, both have a lot in common.

The LAN flights have a lot to do with it IME>

The catering tends to improve during the periods they come through, even to the point of different Bubbles a few years ago.

Aren't the LAN flights only J/Y though? and have been that way for a couple of years now.

I'd day the feature of the QF lounge doesn't look to positive, with NZ expanding there lounge this year. The extra floor space is going to have to come from somewhere, and the cheapest way for the Airport Company to do that would be to offer Qantas out of there lease. After all the EK lounge spends 20hrs a day that it isn't used at all, surely QF could just use it.

...
This was after LAN removed First from the service.

Anyway, I have been there for a year or so and it may have changed.

I was in the AKL F lounge this morning. There were about 8 people in the lounge and when the LAN flight was called there was only 1 person left.

Eggs, bacon, sausage and baked beans as well as the cereal type of breakfast.
