Got very good info that qantas are making a lot of 107 108 flights 2 class

so anyone who gets downgraded using award pts stand your ground and make sure they give you F on the 380.
dont know if those using AA miles will be able to get F though.
not sure of the proceedure there.

I am guessing you mean 3 class?
QF have 1 two class 747 and it spends 99.99% of its time doing the 581/582 run between SYD and PER

QF107/108 SYD-LAX-JFK is now being sold only as 3 class. J, Y+ and Y. I would think that any pax booked on this service in F would be given the opportunity to change to another aircraft with F - at least to LAX. They'd then be able to catch an AA service for F through to JFK.

The refurb planes are 3 class. As Qantas advised back in March:

By the end of June, Qantas will have six newly-fitted B747 aircraft operating on long haul Pacific routes including New York, Los Angeles, Dallas and Santiago.

For First customers travelling between Australia and the US, the A380 First suite will continue to be available on QF11 and QF12 (Sydney/Los Angeles) and QF93 and QF94 (Melbourne/Los Angeles).

Personally, I would only go with AA unless you can secure a flight with real F (I think there're some 3 class flights on this route). If it's just plain domestic F, I'd just stick with QF J on 107/8...

I would definitely take AA F Flagship service over QF J. The majority of these AA flights are 3 class 762.
