Hi all, I've contacted QF FF customer service and still waiting on a reply. I used my FF account a week ago to book a couple of reward flights to PER. - No dramas.

I tried to log in on my lap top to my FF account over the weekend, only to get a message "my account does not have online access" (or similar). Rang QF CS and was told to reset my PIN.

That worked for 24 hours, then attempted to log in again and same error message. Rang QF CS only to be told my account has been suspended???? QF could not tell me why and will investigate. Same if I try on the app on my phone. Could be another 48 hours before I find out anything.

Any suggestions on why my FF account has been suspended? and NO, I have not been selling lounge invitations on ebay........😀

thanks in advance.

This wouldn't be the only sort of activity that could see your account suspended. Asking in the nicest way possible here, is there any other activity on your behalf that could be construed as dodgy (e.g. transferring points to/from people loosely described as "family" members et. al.)?

Aside from that, have you noticed - or been notified of - any unusual login activity? For example, it's not unusual for me to get emails from Qantas from time to time indicating an "unusual login activity" when I log into my account on different devices (or from different locations).

Were the reward flights for yourself? If for someone else they may suspect the relationshipisnt an eligible one?

Did you receive a transfer of points from someone else? Again they may suspect not an eligible relationship.

My Mum's QF account was locked for not having a mobile on file for 2FA. Despite explaining she doesn't have a mobile (and I think it's discriminatory to require one) and that she always travels with myself or my Dad I ended up having to add one of my spare sims to get it unlocked.

Thanks mate, no, no points transfers either, you may be on a winner with the log in thingy. I have had that in the past when logging in to my account from my work laptop, but has never been an issue.

I suppose I'll have to wait it out. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

I used points for me and wifey (who also a QF FF member). all details were ok.

No points transfer and none received, I even managed to get my FF number attached to a (separate) flight my company paid for and successfully upgraded to J with points.

thank you for the reply.

A couple of thoughts from me:

1. Can you recall if your points balance was accurate/correct as at the last time you saw it? It may be that it has been subject to some other type of fraud/attempted fraud through other means and a third party has tried to access your account and use your points (a la the points scam that was in the news a couple of weeks back)

2. How do you typically earn your points? Flights? Shopping? Wine? etc. Have you had a spate of returns/refunds etc/ from points earning purchases that have set some sort of alert against your account?

Points balance correct last time I logged in. Points earn is mostly CCard, banking etc.

No returns etc, so all good. Last check on account was Saturday, bookings all there, OK, Points balance OK, no unusual or suspicious activity.

Thanks for the reply.

Rather than call them, I would be starting an email correspondence with them so you have it all in writing. Simply ask them to explain what is going on and when you will have account access back.

Are all of your flights still intact - especially the points flights and the J upgrade flight?

Couldn't tell you....can't log in, will email them and try that as well..Thanks

You don't need to be able to log in to check. Just go to Manage My Booking ( https://www.qantas.com/au/en/manage-booking.html ) and input the details. The Booking Reference is the PNR that you will find on the itinerary that has been emailed you to - it will be 6 characters (e.g. 6RZ3FD)

Thanks again, have checked via your suggestion (flogging myself for not thinking of that),

Bookings are still intact, so is my points up grade..........

Thanks every one who replied, I'm back in. Security issue. Bookings and points intact. All good.

Could not get a definitive answer on what the issue was but all sorted.
Glad to hear you have your account back! I did read your post with interest, despite not writing anything because I don't know how to solve it for you, but wished all the best in my heart yesterday that you would get it back... :)
