QF - gone cracker!

Re: Qantas cracker buiscuits

Got three jatz instead on mel-bne last sunday. Cheese looked bigger (i'm sure it was an optical illusion).

Re: Qantas cracker biscuits

Apparently it was done in response to customer feedback.

Much easier to break the cheese in half and apportion between two crackers - thereby achieving a more satisfying cheese to cracker ratio.

Breaking the cheese into thirds to accomodate 3 crackers invariably proved a challenge and yielded unsatisfactory results.

;)

Sadly, I can see their point. I used to break the cheese in two and half one half on one cracker and the half between the other two crackers. Apparently I remember the finer points of air travel!

Re: Qantas cracker buiscuits

And who has noticed the crackers are not three in the packet but two!!!!!!

Qantas accountants win this round.

How miserly and stupid.

Might fly CX/SQ next time on principle just to wipe out the savings - so there you go qantas.........................

SPRUCE:evil:

Not sure why you are hanging this one on QF, they dont make the biscuits or limit you to one pack per flight, if you really feel like venting then suggest you dont fly Arnotts anymore  , or head down to your local Campbells and grab the last stock of the 3 pack portion control product before its replaced by the 2 pack.

Quite clearly Markis they procure and distribute and have volume to do so in which ordered quantity and presentation they wish. In other words they buy enough to have it packaged as we receive it.

Take the water for instance, 110ml and 250ml (?) you cant buy that your local Campbells, it has been custom packaged for the red rat.

Cheers SPRUCE ;)

Am I the only one who cuts the cheese with a knife when flying to break it apart into bite-sized pieces

Sorry, this thread was crying out for that reference.

I perfected the two-way break for 3 pieces years ago.

There's a knife, is that in that white paper packet that I can never be bothered to open.

That's fantastic!

I do that also (but not with the great diagram) but can never get it spot on into 1/3rds. I always end up 40% on the end piece and 30% each on the middle 2 sections.

Sorry, but I have to crack a cheese joke again. Excuse my juvenile weekend humour.

From Two and a half men

I know that the winter follows the fall
and in New York the buildings are tall
I hear in China they have a great wall

I know these things and more
but there's just one answer I'm still looking for

Who cut the cheese, who cut the cheese
I ask you please did you cut the cheese

I'm not adverse to learning
tell me why my eyes are burning
Who cut the cheese

Everybody

Who cut the cheese, who cut the cheese
I ask you please did you cut the cheese

I'm not adverse to learning
tell me why my eyes are burning
Who cut the cheese

The diagram is more precise than reality; ±10% is pretty good IMHO - especially after several evening hours in a QP awaiting a delayed flight ... :p

Agreed! Almost impossible to get te breaks correct and even.

I also think the rectangle biscuits are slightly sweet when compared to the round ones. Sweetness and cheese does taste a bit odd.

That instantly painted the funniest picture in my head - after serfty's marathon buscuit dissection stint in the farthest corner of the QP he leaves this mountain of cracked/broken snacks piled against the corner just below the chair height so not to get noticed, then sneakily walking out once his flight is finally ready for boarding.

Que!?!

We are referring to buicuits in little packets distributed on board aircraft; not the self serve/cut rounds available dueing the day in the QP's.

No, I also 'cut the cheese' with my knife into thirds.
