BSkyB owns 1/3rd of Sky news.Fox has 39.14% of BSkyB.That is about 13% of Sky news.

You're confusing equity with control. Any company you can appoint your dubiously qualified son to run is one over which you exercise effective control.

You're confusing equity with control. Any company you can appoint your dubiously qualified son to run is one over which you exercise effective control.

And you are confusing commercial reality with control.
Channel 9,7 and BskyB each own a third of Sky news. Therefore I would expect each would appoint a third of the directors.

I must admit that I never watch the news inflight anymore. Between a newspaper in the lounge and my phone I find I am all 'newsed out' by the time sit down.

This is so true.

It would be great to get more interesting content on domestic.
Documentaries and Business programs while flying would be great.

If they could get something like Inside Business or the Insiders with some in depth analysis it would be much better than 4 hour old news.

Whilst the bulk of the fleet is still using 'tapes' I don't expect the updates to be that more frequent.

With the right hardware and a Secure Wifi feed in the 30min a plane is at the gate however you could do things much better.

The older 738's VX*, VY* & the early VZ* series use High8 tapes (about the same size as cassettes you used to play in cars) then the newer 738's VZL to VZZ & XZA onwards use DVD's.

The A330 fleet use the DVD's plus the international config 763's OGR, OGS, OGT, OGU all have DVD's with the rest of the domestic OG* series a/c progressively changing from the VHS style tape to DVD's.

There are 3 news editions done each day - morning, afternoon & evening.
