Pretty poor to try and charge the same amount. I vaguely remember flying QF9 to Perth and seeing that it was only around 10,000 points to move to premium.
It should have been 10,900 according to the current table (below). Lounge staff were definitely wrong (and also seems to be a fail in the online points calculator), it's a shame OP wasn't able to quote this table.
Yes but it's not a hard curfew at LHR, the airport has some flexibility to grant permission based on a number of factors. Given lower movement numbers I doubt there would be much issue, especially for a 787 with lower noise footprint than older or larger aircraft.
