Agree very much - SYD-MEL in J followed by MEL-LAX in Y isn't a J Award in my book!

I just wish Qantas would fix it so that when you look at a month of 'possible' business award fares, it doesn't show these ridiculous mixed fares where the long haul is actually in Y. To be honest, it borders on fraudulent. Imagine how you'd feel if you were a less experienced user than many on here and you booked without seeing the 'warning - your flight from SYD to LAX will be in the economy class toilets'...

...
OT I detest the QF multi-city booking engine it is a total basket case!

However, that is not specific to "Multi-City" - the standard booking engine does this as well.

I believe PF was referring to the Multi award tool's general idiosyncrasies, including regularly 'crashing' at the final booking stages.

Yes I was referring to its fondness for crashing and also inability to show routes and awards I know actually exist
