QF Per-Sin going to twice daily? Qf77/78

Couldn't agree more Pleb S. Currently I feel that JQ/3K in 1A or 1C are the best QF group seats on this route, dollar for dollar. QF J is pitiful for 5.5 hours and the Y is poor too.

I've mostly given up on SIN as a transit hub though, using DPS and BKK more.

I am becoming a regular in 1C on 3K, thanks to TZ and the PBG (3K are normally expensive otherwise). 1A is sometimes a bulkhead seat which I try to avoid if possible. 3K are woeful, but at the prices I have got recently, I cannot justify to price jump to QF/SQ (triple the price).

If going elsewhere in Asia, it is SQ (possibly on the VA codeshare) all the way. Why fly to SIN on QF and then 3K the rest of the way.....

QF are in a bit of a pickle on PER-SIN and I cannot see a way out for them at the moment.

As someone who travels PER-SIN v.v on a 6 to 8 week basis, I am yet to travel on QF since the reintroduction of the route and will not anytime soon.

TZ (and therefore 3K via PBG) slaughter QF on price if you book more than a month or two ahead. SQ slaughter QF on schedule, connection options in Asia and on service and aircraft quality. QF are expensive, have no full service connections in Asia and operate a poor aircraft choice with a poor schedule.

Moving back to an A330 with new J and a better schedule (leave earlier from PER so you have more connection options in SIN to Asia or have the day in SIN) would be a start at least. But they would have to fill it versus the stiff completion on the route.

I agree with your points, but from what I've heard the current QF71/72 flights are typically pretty full. So they must be doing something right...

Given the choice of aircraft on PER-SIN, I'd even prefer SQ economy to QF business class. 5+ hours is far too long to be crammed into a 737. I can barely tolerate the short hop from Perth to Adelaide.
