I'm used to seeing seats showing not available as a lot of my travel is last minute. However, I'm flying on QF63 and 64 at the end of november and there are seats actually missing - not showing occupied, just not there. On 27th to Jhb on 63, 14/15 ABJK, 16 A/B, 18 A/B and 23/24/25/26 JK are just not showing at all.

Slightly intrigued as to why they just aren't there.

They'd be reserved for the South African Airways codeshare.

Wow never knew that! Never seen it happen, they code share with so many airlines does it happen with OW?
I'd never seen it before either, which is why I asked. Beaten to 16J/K unfortunately.

I had the same thing occur last week with my flight from ICN to SYD.

I was ticketed as QF 368 and only had about 6 rows in the entire plane I could do seat selection from.

The flight was actually operated by Asiana Airlines (*A member) so I assumed the remainder of the seating was reserved for *A members/tickets.
