QF Status Run....unnecessary but interesting

This comment seems rather silly, so they should tag the bags mel-syd-bne-syd-bne for the day? What if it gets lost? I don't see the problem with them bringing their carry on. If I was a domestic crew member I'd definitely bring my luggage onboard.

There are other lockers for the crew (eg. the bottom of the wardrobes). Most of the time crew use those but very occasionally, for some reason, crew members put their case in the overhead locker above passenger seats. That's just asking for passenger annoyance in my view.

My son is on long haul. He NEVER checks his bags in and always packs light and carries on. He has had too many friends get their checked in bags lost at big airports especially LHR and does not take the risk.

Their layovers quite often are very short and they don't have the luxury of heaps of time to wait and see if it is found or buy new stuff before they are back into the plane and on their way home again.

One bag for each cabin member is nothing when you see many PAX putting on multiple bags etc into the overhead lockers PLUS they already have checked in as well.

Yes the PAX are paying but the crew are the ones getting them there and have the same rights iIMHO

I have no problems with the air crew bringing their bags on board. What I don't like is when air crew use the lockers above the first row of Y or to a lesser extent J. When I'm in 23B on an A330 my bags have to go in the overhead locker. There is already limited space without air crew taking it.

The response was one I had not heard since becoming a P1 "it is a non changeable fare and it was very difficult for us to change, you need to book a higher fare if you want to change flights. I'll do it today but this is a rarity". I felt like I was back at school receiving a lecture from the headmistress, i did wonder if I would be dispatched to the naughty corner.

OK I got what I wanted but who oh why the school mistress lecture? I know I shouldn't complain because I got something I didn't pay for, but it just annoys me. It is a little thing but would it really have hurt to take a "let's see what we can do" approach accompanied by a smile?

The problem is that your status still starts with a P......if it started with a C - I'm sure the smile would have been breathtaking;)
