QF Summary page not updating

I've got the same issue, and I ticked over to Platinum 17 days ago, but still no sign of my welcome pack, etc.

I'm wondering if the Activity Statement issue is linked to that, or maybe if it's also linked to the new intelligent-Q card I'm supposedly getting?

I guess we'll see in a week when July becomes August! :)

L.

My WP card came in two weeks after clocking over recently, I would say you nailed it on the head with the trial offer, why send two cards in a short space of time once they worked out who was going to be getting the new ones?

You really think QF is really that clever, though? I'm betting not, but we'll see :)

Not too much to be clever about, run a sweep of the database with a defined criteria and then flag those for the new cards, putting the normal process on hold while its done. The program has been running long enough for them to be across such trivial things.

Sending the second card is most likely a project cost, so while it may have been a factor in the decision process, I wouldn't discount the possibility of some people getting two cards in quick succession,.

As it stands I'm travelling next week, so I'd love at least one of them to show the MEL F lounge dragons, whichever one it is!

I made Plat June 30, new card took just under 3 weeks to arrive. I've also got the iQ email so expect another too.

Someone with experience in producing cards once told me they are done in batches, which would account for a few days either way.

Second the above comment re: project cost. It would take time and money to coordinate the two activities, resources that would be better spent on the core project. To print the original card and send out with the pack would be a minimal cost in comparision.

Dont forget its not only the status change that is covered by a new card, its all those members who have their anniversary date over the next few months as well, 500000-1M cards produced when they dont need to be would be a significant cost regardless. I suspect as soon as the trial participants were decided you fell into one bucket or the other.

Well as it is August, my status *should have* updated. It's still sitting on June So I have emailed QF back and see what their response is this time.

I want the old way back that updated when points were accrued!!

+1 on the status page not refreshing. I've had this for a while, even though I flew in July:
Last Activity:Jun 2010

I had a flight yesterday which has posted points/sc's but still last activity date of June.

Someone has screwed up (wonder if it's to do with the 'qantas club' issue that was showing up on some peoples summary?).

I have to say this would be the last IT bug that I would want QF to fix as it really does not affect anything, I would rather they spent their resources fixing JASA online changes, making a better multi-city booking engine etc .

Will you still be of that opinion on 1 Jan 2012 when you points auto expire after 18 months of inactivity? Sure it might be easy to have any such points reinstated. But imagine the hassle.

What is this qantas club issue?

I doubt that will happen, as the entire QFF population will be affected making it a very bad day to be working on the QFF desk when they open up the first day after.

Lets display some common sense here, what we see on the QFF webpage is not always indicative of the data in their system that is used for policy application, the new icons are never correct either for what is probably the same reason, the app written to display this is referencing the wrong data field. If no points were posting since June 30 it would be an issue.

The QP issue is a reference to the remaining membership they have on standby I suspect, again it was erroneous in nature.

I agree it is highly unlikely to happen. But if a computer is sitting there thinking that the last activity was June 2010. Then it is a possibility no matter how unlikely. Unfortunately computers aren't always known for their common sense and neither are their programmers.

an update to this.

I received an email from QF today:

Firstly I apologise for the delay in responding to you. I have been advised from our Frequent Flyer team this is a known error that is currently being investigated. the error is only affecting the last activity date on your statement and not the actual activity you have taken in July and August.

At least the acknowledge the fault and are looking into it!
