Hey all,

Hoping to lean on the collective knowledge/experience.

I'll be visiting Adelaide later this year (maybe Sept-Octoberish) and i've noticed on the return flight I can get an A330.

What I couldn't find was a way to select the A330 Syd-Adelaide. Is this possible?

If its not, do you guys recommend the 767 or the 737-800 for a Y ticket?

Thanks :)

There is a flight to ADL on the A330 from memory, it leaves in the morning.

If it isn't available I'd always take the 767 over a 737 any day of the week. I prefer the wide body.

If you want the A330 on the SYD-ADL leg, it departs on Thursdays, Saturdays and Tuesdays as QF81 :)

If you book the domestic sector of QF081 & QF082 not only is it A330 but you depart and arrive from the Int. terminals.

Doesn't matter much with departing from ADL as there is no F Lounge, but in SYD (if you're WP) you would get to enjoy the use of the F Lounge.....

(Flights are a bit limited though as they don't fly every day)

It does mean that you don't get much time to access the QP on the way out given you have to go through int'l security and immigration (D status though so not as bad) and no liquids/gels over 100ml.

Thanks guys :)

Am I right in thinking that the A330 flights also mean the 2hrs before departure timeframe check in? if its from the international terminal?

That would certainly be the case in SYD. ADL maybe not if you've done online check in and don't have checked luggage.
