I think you found a typo and they've missed the first number 1 in the text. I.E. the fare should read $1899.

Why not call and ask them?

I'm not so sure...

I'm seeing $1587 return on the QF website.

The best I can get for a return between those two locations on QF is $1153.

No $899's.

Also Banner states Ends 20 Dec 2013 however click on the SALE Tab next to the fare, any one of them and it tells you that the fares are only available till 15 November 2013 which was a week ago. WTF?

If you look at all the Europe early Bird sales then pricing is not as advertised on the sale Banner as there are lower prices for each of the European cities mentioned

IE Melborne London shows as $2075 on banner yet fares show available as low as $1700?

Melbourne to Dublin shows as $1849 on Banner yet fares show as available as low as $1474

And again click on the SALE tab where available and it tells us that the fares expired 15th November 2013

This is either extremely bad housekeeping from QF or a blatant misrepresenation.

QF site is still showing those misleading prices, 2 days later.

If you can find a fare as low as $1153 then book it quick.

Personally I do not think it is misleading to advertise an $899 airfare between 01 February 2014 and 31 March 2014. Just note there only needs to be 1 airfare available at that price. And if that airfare sells today before the sale is over do they need to adjust the lowest airfare available?

Lets not start picking on Qantas for misleading airfares. Others are much better at it.
