1. I heard BA PE is ****
2. Why did QF put the 744 on BKK if they now need to launch a massive sale especially in Business to attract bookings?

The economy sale is not for the peak period. The 747 is being used for increased in economy. They are using PE cabin for economy and downstairs business cabin for pe

Also BA use new 777-300ER on Sydney which has a decent PE cabin. Quite an upgrade from the older aircraft

It seems that although economy is full, they struggle to fill the business seats... hence the 20k bonus points offer for flights in Dec and Jan.

Looks like they are using their oldest 747 on the BKK run - OJA has been operating QF23/24 ever since it became a 747 route on 1 December.

The PE cabins on those new 77Ns appear vastly improved. I flew on a four week old 77N last week and returned last night on one, I only flew Y but during the walk through, the PE cabins looked much better, appeared roomier than the usual PE cabins.

I've had positive feedback from clients on the sydney-london route with the new product.

I have a booking SIN-SYD on QF6 for 01 March and it was a 747. I checked my booking earlier and it is now a 332's! :( They swapped my 43H for 24G bulkhead. Not sure when this changed but I must have received a flight notification change recently and did not pay any attention to it.

It would appear QF5/6 are operated by A333's and A332's for the first few weeks in March. Is that due to maintenance schedules?

I am going to call and see if I can switch to the SIN-BNE service but SIN-BNE-SYD-BNE could be over the top.

Heading off SYD-BKK very soon - had actually been hoping for the non-refurbed aircraft as we'd been allocated PE -> J seats. Alas, the aircraft swapped to a refurb, so we had to get there the old fashioned way and say goodbye to 25k points each. ;)

Im booked in January in Y currently allocated pe seat. I put y+ upgrade request in hoping for j seat.

I'm on the NYE flight in J, according to EF only one J seat occupied downstairs and a few upstairs.

If you get upgraded to J, I reckon you'll pay the full points price for Y-J.

Sitting in 23D tomorrow on QF23. Looks like it's the old configuration 747 so I cancelled my upgrade request.
Hoping to get the J seat and save 25k points. Worst case, PE is good enough for a day flight...
