QF1 - a long flight with no water!

in bound was on QF to LHR? EU doesn't apply.

Indeed. "An EU flight is where the flight departed from an EU airport, regardless of the airline, OR where an EU airline landed at an EU airport." Had it happened the other way around, would have been a different story.....

Just to let everyone know, contacted by QF today regarding my feedback. I will be receiving a refund of the points value deducted for my DXB-LHR upgrade and a travel voucher. Most important of all a recognition of the issues I raised and an apology :)

to be honest red roo I was expecting an update on this situation from you as the official company representative.

particularly, a confirmation that the underlying issue has now been fixed.

while we are on this there are several other issues outstanding:
- ability for check-in staff to through check baggage onto other one world airlines (has this now been fixed or are some staff still telling people they need to claim their bags in sydney?)
- continued reports of champagne running out
- assisted booking charges for bookings that cannot be completed on line ex Thailand, china (etc)
