QF1 Connecting to BA Domestic Flight

I was told my bag wouldnt need to be collected and would go straight through to EDI, but I will check again on the day of travel.

Also provided QF1 isnt running super late I have time, so can always swing by luggage carousel at LHR to make sure that my bag doesnt end up there, and take it with me to T5 to check it in again of needed.

Im hoping by AUgust things are back to normal.

As I said earlier, on my last 2 trips through LHR customs seemed entirely optional, no one was policing, it was honour system, you walked through one exit if nothing to declare and another if something to declare. I didnt see a single person go through the door to decalre anything.

Connecting flights indicates that of flights are on the one ticket bags can be checked through and airside transfer possible

My booking appears to have stuck, but i still never received nice PDF e-ticket, can only hope that a flight time changes by a few minutes on one leg and they therefore resend me a pdf ticket.

What i did notice is that the time of my LHR to JFK flight moved to an earlier timeslot when the ticket was re-issued, as it now an 8:30am departure it is not feasible for me to stay in downtown London and get tube (not the airport express) to airport by 5:30am (as services only start at 5:30am) which is check in time, so will have to stay at an airport hotel the night before, which is an extra expense.

For SYD QF LHR BA EDI, on either separate tickets (one PNR) or same ticket, you can transfer airside. You will clear immigration at LHR in T5 (not T3) and customs at EDI.

This aligns with my current understanding as well. I contacted Inverness airport and they said they have customs facilities enabling a lm airside transfer in LHR.

INV has customs facilities shared with the sea port, as they get flights from AMS.

Thanks, do you know if they will be funneled towards immigration at T5 once they get off the airside bus or is that something that will have to be proactively found?
