Hi people,

I believe this now includes a plane type change, while remaining on the same flight number (an odd concept for me).

Will upgrades work on this one do we think?, and will they cover the whole trip.

How on earth does seating work.

& I believe its a 744RR from LAX to SYD but what about JFK LAX.

Looking somewhere around 25 Aug in Prem Econ with intent to upgrade?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Brian.

bjbrian, no plane type change per se - a 747 on both sectors now. Internal configuration may be different however, with both old 4-class config and new 3-class config variously appearing on both the SYD/LAX and LAX/JFK sectors, although my hunch is that the new config appears a little more often than 4-class on the LAX/JFK sector. (Someone will probably do an analysis and prove me wrong...)

I think online seating will only allow one seat selection for the two sectors on QF107 (like the 2 sectors on (say) QF9), but as I usually connect from QF93, I defer to someone with experience from Sydney.

There is no plane change on QF108 JFK-LAX-SYD.
QF108 from JFK now arrives at TBIT. Same plane continues to SYD.
QF16 For BNE departs from terminal 4.
QF107 may involve aircraft change at LAX with either the QF15 or QF107 plane continuing to JFK.
On Mondays there is no QF15.

Expert flyer currently showing a reconfigured 744 on 24 Aug and non-reconfig 744 on 25 & 26 August for QF108.
Wouldn't count out a change between now and then yet.
Others will have to give you the loadings re upgrade chance.
