Great Pictures, looks just as good as flying on QF63.

How excited were the rest of the passengers?

A few noticed - most were sleeping. Surprised the crew didn't mention pre-departure. I knew the route so made sure I woke up to look!

Wow thanks for sharing this. I'm flying to Santiago in November. Can you recommend BC seats for getting this kind of view?

Any window seat would have gotten a great view - on the right (where the sun set/rose) there was more light to see the ice.

I'm yet to fly to SCL, but I got a rather exciting view of antarctica on QF63 to JNB back in 2014 (in old VH OJA).
Here's some footage I took. Apologies for the quality of the video - I had a lot of learn about video editing! :p

Great pics! I flew home from SCL years ago and fell in love with the view so intensely that I returned to the continent for an Antarctica cruise. Such incredible scenery.

Greg555, loved the photos. I have plied that route (and the old options further north) for some 40 years. I have seen the sights which your photos show, but your actual photos are fantastic. Thank you :)
