QF8 Cancelled - Friday 12th

The F Lounge at LAX reopens on the 11th August

Ah, great, so should be open for my trip tomorrow

QF8 seems on track tonight from DFW, albeit delayed

That one - the 11 August QF8 is actually the scheduled 11 August QF8 which is operated by the aircraft that operated the 11 August QF7. (VH-ZNK)

VH-ZNB (which was the AUS diverted 10 August QF7) is sitting in DFW at the moment

I got some spurious message from the travel company we use (Tripactions) that QF8 was re-instated however I don't believe that is/was true. That company still has no record of me flying from AUS - LAX later either!

I have been advised by the company to consider using other airlines in the future instead of Qantas due to the impact it has had (cost, personal impact at weekends, cancelled meetings etc) and that Delta will status match etc.

The pain continues. The Delta flight is now delayed and IF it doesn’t get delayed again or cancelled is leaving it very fine to clear security and get boarding passes for the SYD flight…

....and now the Delta flight won't make the connection time as it's delayed again!

So now Qantas are trying to get me back on Sunday nights QF8...
