QF93 Delays out of MEL

Hi,

I've noticed that QF93 seems to be constantly delayed leaving MEL, for instance it was delayed today from 10.25am to 3.30pm and I'm pretty certian it has been late most days this week. Is there any simple explanation as to why this flight seems to get delayed often? It may seem a weird question but I thoguht someone may have experienced the delay and may know what QF's excuse is.

At the moment it is due to the backlog with maintenance. This will take about 10 weeks to clear I think.

this weeks it's been egineering. ie the egineers are in negotiations with management for a pay rise. so they've been releasing a/c out of maintenance late.

Been reported elsewhere the LAME's union & QF have agreed. The LAME's will now no doubt slug overtime

Also a 747 has been the subject of a bomb scare in LAX and is very late. Any delay flows on through the fleet

Just checked flight 73 - SYD-SFO - due to leave at 1:55pm - yesterday left at 4:26pm, today at 5:21pm so no favourtism syd v mel

Thanks guys! I have the flight on 21/8 and then I have about 10hrs to wait for an AC flight in T2. With any luck It'll be on time...If not my travel insurance should cover it if its THAT late...hopefully!
