Hey guys, anyone have a quick fix for this without my having to ring and wait for hours?

I have changed phone and email address which is causing an ID problem.

I can log in to my QFF account using the 'verify another way' option but once inside the account every time I want to do something I am directed to the 'one time SMS code' page.

Therefore I cannot change my phone number on the FF profile without using my extinct phone number... any tips?

Thanks guys

@leon_rex , I suspect you will need to call. Make sure you choose the options to get to "Qantas Frequent Flyer".

The Qantas Frequent Flyer call centre is different to the Reservations call centre (which has short wait times at the moment anyway). I've usually found them pretty easy to get through to.

Yes, as others say, calling is your only option.

I hate 2fa now. I was locked out of my Italian bank account because my Italian phone contract was cancelled, me being away for so long (because travel restrictions). Built up €4k of unpaid bills. No way to fix except calling. Luckily got them to find someone who could speak English to call me and help change my phone number.

Then when over here, discovered that telstra have stopped ANY international roaming with prepaid contracts. Left me completely locked out of my mygov account because 2fa, and couldn't pay invoices for my disabled wife's NDIS care. Luckily discovered that the app worked, but very, very lucky I had it installed and set up already.

Interestingly, both apps use biometric authentication, but of course, that's discarded as soon as you get a new phone! I'm setting up my travelling dual sim phone for all such apps now. Hopefully it will last a few more years.

TL;DR 2fa sucks!

The 'Authenticator' app works well and avoids SMS issues, but I'm not sure if you can switch to that without having to call first.

If it was previously set up, there should be the option (link) to use “alternative“ authentication (or words to that affect). That three questions thingy.
