QFF Birthday Offers Are People Getting Them

I’ve been waiting on my usual January birthday offers as I need to book a hotel and would like to buy some wine. Seem to recall the email usually arrives early January but this year so far nothing . Are others still getting the birthday offer? Or a Covid casualty? Is it worth chasing up with them?

My birthday is in June and I've only received one offer from QFF - in 2019.

I don't think I got one during 2020. Having offers relevant for a full month is likely a challenge!

My partner got one earlier this week, four days after her birthday. She's WP.

It included the usual unique codes for $30 off Qantas Hotels and $25 off Qantas Wines. There's also a static code for 10% off the rewards store which was listed as BDAYJAN20 but should probably be BDAYJAN21.

Side note - I've received one every year since 2015, which was probably when I reached the lofty heights of Silver for the first time. Subject line always starts with "Happy birthday" and email comes from [email protected]. Sometimes they arrive on my birthday, sometimes they a few days late.

That's pretty poor on Qantas' part if you've retained P1 across consecutive years...

Do you use Qantas Hotels / Wine at all? Neither my partner or I do, so the vouchers could also be a thinly veiled customer acquisition strategy for those products...

I've never received any birthday emails or offers; it must be a select few that get them. I've been SG and WP the past ten years. Qantas being consistently inconsistent?

I use wine every few months or have done during 2020 (ahem).... QF hotels? I have probably made a grand total of 3 bookings total with them so I guess the answer is "not really"

I am not fussed either way. I got the email and was more amused than excited given this was while Vic was in 2nd lockdown and I wasn't going anywhere, no hotel;s (local) open to book and no plans to do anything so... not terribly helpful..

I have never had a birthday offer.but then for the last 14 years in 11 of them I have finished with )SCs.I would be very surprised if they ever offer me one.
Then again due to Covid they have extended my LQP.Instead of ending in 2045 it is now 2048.Wow i am going to make a 100.

I've never received a birthday offer from QF. Not surprised given I'm in the eastern islands.

I got one in Sept 2019, my husband in March 2020. I used the QF $30 hotel voucher to book cheap hotels in Turkey that we might have used if not for Covid. I didn't bother cancelling them and got points for both, hopefully helped a Turkish small hotelier a bit as well!

Interesting l have never ever got a Bday treat and had been a member since July 1998..... l even changed energy company plus choose to pay the higher plan ti gain the extra points for travelling. The positive is that l have not lost points. Start of lock down, l lost all my points with an US booking agent l had accumenlated with, who l am determined to never ever use again, cheap fare or not! Now in process of sorting out what l want to do with my current QFF, in case l should lose them.....

I too have never had a birthday offer either - joined in 1996, and been WP or P1 for at least 15 years all up. Interesting.
