QFF Bonus Status Credits/Points gift on back of Aug 2023 profit

I've read that you need to update the app.

1000pt/30SC here. I took the latter, though I'm still unlikely to requalify this year.

Available within the app only?
Eligible Members will be entitled to a choice of either Qantas Points or Status Credits within the Qantas App, which must be made by 11.59pm (AEST) 30 August 2023.

Got it. I was looking on iPad iOS app, it wasn't there. Tried PC. Wasn't there. Tried iPhone iOS app, got it.

Only offered 1000/30SC. It must depend on number of QF revenue bookings, most of mine have been oneworld or QF reward.

In any case I don't need the SCs so not a big deal.

75/5000 here. Pretty sure my iOS app just updated also but that could be a coincidence.

Hmm, in my first month of new QFF year and just took GT 50 SCs to kick start the year. Forward and expected bookings already should have me WP again by July.

Do they count towards LTP? 😂

Does SC count towards LT tally? Or QFF points towards PC?
Status Credits earned from this offer do not count towards Loyalty Bonus, Platinum Bonus Reward, Platinum One Bonus Reward and Status Accelerator earn requirements.

But presumably LT status.

The points will count towards PC but don’t be surprised if they count under “Flying” points. Last year’s 30K WP “thank you” gobbled up the 20K flying quota in one gulp!

Mrs ChrisMars also got 75/5k. She only flew awards (Domestic and International). I am wondering why some get 75 and some 30.

Option to select came up for me after updating the Qantas app on iOS. 75 status credits for me, with about 6 paid return economy flights to Melbourne so far this year.

Two classic rewards here (SIN-MEL in Y in May, and SYD-MEL in J this Sunday evening).

Got the 1000 points/30SC offer, and took the points.

I was offered 30/1000 and i have flown 6 flights. I assume that the offer may be higher for those who flew LESS and not more.

No, I think it is the opposite.

But they don't differentiate between paid/award flights.

Both my partner and I got 75/5,000 and haven't flown a single paid flight on Qantas since the pandemic, but a good number of award flights.

I flew significantly more than my son in the last year - he got the 30sc offer and I got the 75sc offer

Anyone get an error message once you selected and claimed? Still think there are issues with the app, it should be available on desktop.

App only? Have no use for any SCs unless they were giving me 1190SCs. No planned paid Qantas travel until at least June 2024.

I counted and I've had 4 QF revenue flights and 5 classic reward flights, 9 total. I'm guessing 10 was the threshold 🤣

I am in the membership year with a 500SC rollover, so definitely don't need the SCs (already LTG).

It seems a high SC to low points ratio which originally made me think the higher amounts are offered to those with low SC balances to help them requalify. The normal loyalty bonus is 50/8000.

5,000 points / 75 SCs for me. I think I've flown 1 revenue QF flight this year and about 4 reward ones, so that can't be it. But I do have a return $ flight to SCL booked for December and also DPS (EDIT - just read T&Cs - those don't count).

Damn airline just seems to insist that I get Plat again (500 SC starter and all that). :p
