I have been trying to book a flight leaving Friday and returning Sunday. This way I can qualify for the 5,000 point bonus.

When I checked Sun night, I could still do it. However I can now not choose those dates.. i can choose them but the magically change when selecting any destination.

I could book the flights.. and the room.. but not through the holidays page. Does anyone know when the cut-off is for booking through there?

OK found it... 4 days apparently

Domestically it is 4, but seems to be 7 days for international.

You'll find that the reason for that is QF Hols and all wholesalers have an agreed cut off at which point they hand back any unsold allocation (room nights) to the hotels as they figure 4 days out they are just as likely to sell it direct as through the wholesaler.
