I am trying to make sense of the published T&C applicable to the QFF Loyalty Bonus SCs, as different parts of the QF site seem to say inconsistent things.

Having earned a LB I have the usual choice between 50 SCs and 8000 pts. I will retain WP at my review date and can delay the LB selection until after then to credit the SCs at the start of my new FF year. So far, so good. But I thought I’d better read the T&C to avoid any problems....

On the page setting out the full QFF T&C the relevant clause says this (red highlighting is mine):

That first sentence seems to provide the confirmation I’m looking for, though the carve-outs for P1 are worth noting.

Doubt sets in when looking at the rules re LBs as set out on another pages summarising WP benefits:

Here there is the implication that LB SCs chosen after 31/12/21 will NOT count towards WP retention or LTSCs, which contradicts clause 20.8.3 in the full T&C. The waters are muddied further by the footnote about P1 attain and retain, which also contradicts the full T&C.

I could be having a senior moment and missing something, or is it (as it seems) just a QF failure to keep different pages of the site updated and consistent? But grateful anyway to hear others’ experience in having LB SCs count (or not) towards WP retention.

They definitely count towards attainment/retainment for Platinum status but not Platinum One (with the exception of the COVID exceptions that were made as you noted above). The page you took that second screenshot from looks incorrect and the text there would apply to Platinum One but not Platinum.

Yes they do. I think the Platinum One reference is confusing you. Just ignore it :)
