That happens every winter. Just ask those Finnish folks.

I can vouch for that and I've got photos of a frozen HEL to prove it. When I was there in February, the temperature range was -10 to -5.

I thought you were pretty special but not to the point where you know who has e-mail or not. How do you do that Is that a skill you can share with the rest of us Do you know if I have e-mail
Well, it's called the Memberlist - look at the top of the screen underneath and between "Search" and "Usergroups". For oz_mark, I simply searched using the listing...not rocket science  . He has his email address listed in his Profile, so I sent him an email :) . No, you don't have your email in your Profile :( , but I'm sure you have one otherwise

I've already had email contact with MetroAir previously, so I had his saved in my Address Book.

Silly me. Off course you can send e-mail to someone.

I just thought that you were predicting someone had received e-mail, but not from you.    :!:

A normal winter's day here. On the colder ones, it gets nearer -20  .

Craigo I'd recommend you visit in summer. When I was there early August, it was +28 at 6pm on the beach one day :D .

Given the amount of email I get, predicting of got email is a bit of a no brainer anyway.

Those cold temperatures are the price you have to pay for Hokkaido powder skiing!

The visit to Helsinki was at the end of my travels when I did the ski instructor's course in Tyrol. Although I had colder days in Austria (-15 max), I thought that Helsinki's weather was the most uncomfortable due to the dampness of the cold.

My father and his wife had a stopover in Helsinki the previous June and were amazed to see my photos of the frozen harbour. They departed on the day of the summer solstice and the sun was just setting when their flight was boarding at 11:30pm!

ah Midsommarkransen svensk.. How I miss thee..
I've only seen photos of ARL snowed under and 747 still landing..

Hmmm.... perhaps you are confusing things a bit. Are you referring to ARN (Stockholm Arlanda) perhaps? Stockholm is about 3 six-packs of beer away from HEL by ferry. :)

But you're right, there is nothing like a Swedish midsommar festival with absolut vodka, sill and gorgeous Swedish girls!

No survey for me either. But not surprised as I dont think ozjet will be flying to/in NZ any time soon, so my NZ address rules me out. However, if QF were clever they'd see the number of Australia domestic flights I take (both with and without international flight on same ticket) and send the survey anyway.

I can imagine. Visited HEL in April and even though daytime max up to 20C there was still a lot of ice in the harbour.

AndersB, you're a married man
Yes, to one of those Swedish girls. :D
Those were the days... midsummer with my then girl-friend, vodka and sill (Swedish pickled herring). She doesn't drink and is not fond of the sill either. So all the more for me! Just a word of caution... don't overdo it on these midsummer festivities. Go easy on the pickled fish.

senapsill...mmm min favorita... synd att jag inte är en svensk tjej
