This may have already been done in a previous thread, but off to BKK from SYD in May and have a choice of QF or Thai in F Class. Would love AFF feedback on which one to choose.
Tks B:D

If it was an A380 I’d choose F on QF.

Haven’t heard too much good from Thai these days, used to fly their J a lot, but a long time ago.

Looking at the options, it’s a 747 to BKK, but you could take an A380 to HKG in F and then a CX flight onwards on a 777 in J for the same price, experience a little bit more :p

I would think price and your need to earn status should also come into it, but

SYD-BKK.
So QF 747-400 or
TG A340-600

QF + Fully flat, SYD lounge on departure, better wines
- Small IFE

TG + Caviar, Rimowa Amenity Kit, Larger IFE, Amazing lounge on return
- Sloping seats

Moa999 many thanks fo rthe comments. I have booked 2 F seats on QFF using Anyaward protocol to get SC and Award points., so payment is not the key issue.

The link is great.tks.

i feel the QF option I have chosen is best.will help me get from gold to platimun as well

TG F seats are fully flat.

the rimova amenity kit seems to be going for about €75 on eBay!!

trading off the qf f lounge, I would go for TG... simply because of the meet and greet at the gate with the cart, and the same on the return.

The QF lounge (as well for my partner) are a big advantage, can set up a degustation menu experience if you like!

What do you mean by cart and gate??

Not motivated by amenity kit though;)

thai will meet your aircraft in Bangkok with a golf cart to drive you to immigration, escort your through, then a porter waits with you to take your bags out to your car. same on the return, they meet your incoming car and escort you the whole way to the plane. can be some very long walks in bkk. also with TG f you get super express immigration ex bkk.

the bkk qf lounge is nothing special... but the TG is ok. the spa is probably not a stood as the qf one.

If possible do QFF one way and come back Thai.

Then we can have a trip report.

Not a bad suggestion but will keep the QF tix as SC's will get me along way to WP this year

Maybe next time!
