Of course I will - they know me at the SYD DOM QC, they start pouring the beer when they see me approaching the bar!

I think a LOT of it has to do with that fact that I used to work for Qantas, in both reservations and at the airport (doing despatch - check-in and departure control).

So I have actually worked in the areas affected, I know what the rules are, and I also know how much lea-way the staff have (or had, at least when I was there).

That, combined with the fact that I am now a FF myself, but when I get to airports I can actually tell staff how to do it (i.e. what commands to enter into the computer) as well as mention names, means that I am learning a great deal about the CURRENT situation (greatly different to when I worked there though).

Still, it all adds up, and if I can help someone, I will.
