QFF to redeem MU (China Eastern)

How long does QF take to issue tickets on MU? How does one get the right code to use MMB on China Eastern website to select seats (I assume they won't just use the same QF booking reference).

I've booked a MU J redemption through QF and am trying to select seats online. The website rejects my e-ticket number because it starts with 081. Is there a trick to getting this done, or should I just give up now? It seems their website has not improved in recent years...

If you’ve already made the booking, go to QF MMB and check that the minimum APIS is there ie DoB. PP isn’t essential straight away, but might as well while you’re there.

DoB missing can hold up tickets being issued.

My e-ticket was issued within 5 minutes on a Friday afternoon. Did not have to enter API, but I did provide DoB as part of the booking.

Yes, if it asks during the booking process it should stick.

I always enter passport and DOB immediately after booking. Now waiting for this ticket to issue.
