Think this a new inclusion to the Qantas website?

Looks to have particular rules:
  • Only accepts Visa/Mastercard online - others still have to call the Frequent Flyer Service Centre
  • Can only purchase up to 25% of points balance (to the nearest 500 point interval). Maximum 60k points per purchase
  • Can be purchased twice in a 12 month period
Don't quote me on this, but the rates look slightly cheaper the more points you buy?

When 'top up" points purchase was introduced in 2005 it could be done online.

Some found a way around the limiting rules so after some years they took it offline and it became a call up only service.

I note that in 2005, the maximum that could be purchase was 20K and once per membership "year" - this has now increased as indicated to 60K x 2.

20 AUD for first 500 points.

0-1000 points, 40 AUD/1000, 0.04 AUD per point.
1000-2000 points 37.50 AUD/1000, 0.0375 AUD per point.
2000+ points 35 AUD/1000, 0.035 AUD per point.

Not sure if the price drops again after that...

Can't see a thread on this, but my most recent newsletter annouced Qantas top up points can be purchased online.

There is a story under my account log in. minimum purchase 500 points for $20, maximum 60,000 point for $1425. But says there is a limit based on current points balance.

Qantas seems to have increased its top-up points prices again recently. It's now $56 for 1,000 points, up to $3,999 for the maximum of 150,000 points.
