QFF Upgrade from O class?

The fact that you couldn't use it on one booking which you have since it is outside of the time where it can be requested doesn't seem to me that they have made an offer that they will not offer

You could have used it on other bookings during the period of validity

... QF admit my travel dates were never going to be eligible in this promotion, however I feel Qantas have made an offer to me which they should honour. To me they could have targeted the offer only to people with bookings in that date range instead of giving and taking away - NoHelpDesk no 1 said 'the Internet' wouldn't let them do this, her Supervisor said it would be 'very hard'. Where do they get these people? ...
I believe you are SOL. The offer email I received had the following paragraph: (my bolding)
... To be eligible to upgrade you must register your request online at qantas.com before 2 June 2009. Telephone requests are not eligible. Please also remember that you can only register for an international Flight Upgrade Award from 90 days to 24 hours before your departure from your first port of origin.
So, with the offer, this restriction was specifically referred to with the implication being any the requests under this promotion needed to be for flights departing no later than 90 days after 2nd June 2009 (in this case before September).

Seems to me the place to post this......but sorry if it is not!
Just information to all....

Last Friday afternoon Jul 10, QF called me and ask if I wanted to upgrade my (and SWMBO) flight tomorrow QF 127 Jul 14 using our points. As it was a day flight, I politely declined. But I did asked if I could upgrade using cash (which I was willing to) but, no, as only points upgrade from Australia is available.
We are on a "V" class economy tickets.

This is good to see QF playing a proactive role in this "sometimes hotly debated" issue here in AFF. Indeed a far cry when you are told that your requests for points upgrade are only known 5 hrs before (officially).
