Ohhh Yes! Ali LBW Lyon. DRS Review immediately but nothing in snicko and third umpire .confirms the bad news for Ali. 6/249. Woakes now in

Such a mouthful

Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot Cabernet Franc

Phew Paine just took the catch

just in time for another wicket

8/270

8B3A6BD0-9CAC-4BE1-907C-F09EB7034B34.jpeg One of the best legslip catches Ive ever seen taken - Warner removed Ball for 14, who was looking dangerous. 9/286

Marsh drops a really high ball from Broad right in front of us, gets a falcon for his troubles and the ball runs into the boundary.

The whole QCC went up in derision  (can’t bat, can’t field - echoes of Joe the TV cameraman’s comment about Scott Muller)

Thankfully thst wasn’t an expensive mistake but someone in the outfield can catch.

Anderson out for 5. All out 302

Damn it, Bancroft caught behind for 5 off Broad’s bowling. 1/7. Usman strides to the familiar Gabba pitch

Usman plays an ordinary forward defensive, playing for spin from Ali that wasn’t there. Out LBW for 11. 2/30

2590B31A-32B8-47EA-AB91-3961B00A0A5D.jpeg The Balmy Army have come into voice - finally the beers, humid conditions and a couple of wickets. So the nearby Richie Benaud’s tried to outdo them. Well back came the Balmies with a couple of rousing renditions - “We are the army”, “Here we go”, “God Save The Queen” etc. Mr Trumpet has finally woken up as well

6D3F77AE-5FEC-417D-866E-88B372C6C29D.jpeg Warner out for 26 - hits it straight to short mid on. What was he thinking - from the looks of it, changed his mind in the middle of the strike. 3/59

Handscomb comes to the middle.

Time to drown my sorrows with my round of beers

Now we could be in trouble.

Handscomb out for 19 LBW Anderson. Completely played down the wrong line and missed, no doubt it was hitting leg. DRS confirmed.

The Balmy Army were jubilant. Back into song after a little sojourn.

Famous person spotting - look who I ran into (actor Ioan Gruffudd, think Hornblower, Fantastic 4 and Liar)

E5E82BF1-7892-4D1A-B89F-E9144F339EE8.jpeg Paine out for 13 - questionable whether the bowlers had any part of his boot behind the line but the 3rd umpire concurred with the onfield decision. 6/202

Starc dispatches Broad for a 6, then next ball gets out caught and bowled.

7/209
