Maybe Krispy Kreme are expanding.
Actually, you could be correct. Last week I noticed a KK 'booth' on the south side of the concourse on the way from the QP to gate 2.

Those KK donuts are good, noticed one pax had two dozen she was bringing with her to Singapore on the weekend flight, I thought I was desperate taking back to BNE with me!

I have never tried any. Are they really that good? I suppose if people living in MEL are willing to return on international flights to SYD and then get domestic flight to MEL just for KK donuts they must be good.

Strolling past on Sunday I noticed the KK stall, stopped for a few minutes, it reminded me of the old hot dog stands at Belmore Sprots Ground, Redfern Oval, Jubilee Oval etc, and there was no magnetism there. A couple stopped to ask a question then kept walking without buying anything. In fact didn't see too many people buying donuts. I saw a sign $8.80, I hope that's not what 1 donut costs, I was too embarassed to ask.

No, they are just doughnuts; some stores do cook glazed doughnuts in store and when hot they can be ok otherwise they are just standard mass produced doughnuts

The KK cart in T3 is quite pathetic actually - you're right in that it is like a hotdog stand.

In T2 they have a proper store which also makes decent coffee. They've just moved from their original location next to the newsagent into the new "food court" between the two piers. There are a bunch of other food outlets there now too and a big sitting area. And they are working on the old bar area, so when that is finished it should be great.

I've never seen T2 as busy as it was today, both morning and evening. It makes T3 look underutilised.

Back on topic... the wretched Amex spruikers called out to me in both SYD and MEL today.

I have developed a technique to avoid too much issue with these. I simply look them straight in the eyes as I walk in a purposeful direction/path that will take me past them by at least 10' .

Still, it's a PITA.

Does anyone know what renovations are taking place to the QP entrance in T3 at Sydney ?

Well I am in T3 at the moment.

The renevations seem to be finishing soon. I'm not sure anything really has changed except Qantas closing off the entrance at 5-6(?).

At the moment the Qantas Club is only open from the East side (Gate 3?) The other entrance is now closed and is only an exit.

(Don't try to exit from the East side, or you will get a "nice" bollocking from the QP staff :) They are going mental today reminding everyone every 10-15 mins about "exit from the west side")

Construction work is still happening, so this could all change yet again.

I wonder though if they have modified the Chairmans Lounge. As I don't get to grace their hallowed halls, I can't really tell.

PS. There is an Amex spruiker right next to the exit hawking off the Amex/Qantas card. Harmless enough though, just seems to be sitting there rather than yelling out "Hello" or "Excuse me" or "Hey" or <insert favourite spruiker attention getter term here>.
