Hi all,
Came across this fare on FT and thought I'd share this great deal here.

https://goo.gl/flights/VVwg

Looks like this is available for flights well into next year.
BKK-DOH leg are on either a 777 or A380.
DOH-LAX leg are only on a 777.

Looks like the 777 is preferred for comfort, albeit an older product, which works well for that 16h leg!

Wish I could make this work for me... lol... but the fare is gone by my July trip..... and I got a <$4000 rtn on NZ for the Feb trip... which I need for status retention.... Bugger!

Very sharp pricing. Now to convince SWMBO we need a visit to the US.

520 QF Scs too

Wow that is a long way around! Though I do agree that the QR 777 in business class is a very comfortable ride after we did the long haul EZE-GRU-DOH-PER at the start of the year.

Would you or anyone else recommend who to credit the flight to? Looks like Qatar/QMiles isn't really worth much unless strictly flying with them.

QF is good as its a big chunk toward status. Consider BA if can get 4 BA flights. Consider AA if doing enough flying to get status with them or not bothered about status at all
