QR has revealed its 'next-gen' Qsuites.

Some more advanced tech, as you'd expect (including a digitally secured drawers at each seat for valuables - brilliant) and you can now open up single seats along the sides to a pair of 'dine together' seats. Some other 'evolutionary' tweaks.

Unfortunately doesn't look as though it will be retrofitted to existing craft, just new ones B777-9s from late 2025 (if they are lucky) . Something to look forward to :)

Nothing groundbreaking imo, the ability to convert two window seats into a suite is a welcome addition if flying with someone that you want to chat to but are not keen on sharing the double bed with.

It looks fantastic, although it's not as big a leap as Q-Suites - I just hope they roll it out with enough consistency. It's incredible that QR has a better product on the market already than most airlines, if not all, and yet it still rolls out something new.

TBH I don't think we'll see anything revolutionary in Business Class for the next product cycle, as it's hard to go further without cannibalising F or simply making the footprint too large - from what I can tell, this would be on par with some F products a decade or two ago.

Well that’s pretty groundbreaking to have that option and in J.

The middle seats are already able to be combined into suites in one form or another, to me this is more of an evolution of the current seat rather than a whole new groundbreaking product.

I'm not knocking it, it's one of the best products in the sky and it's good to see that they're investing into making it even better.

Yes, aware the middle seats did this but as we always prefer window seats then this will really work well for us. Assuming we can get one seat behind the other that is. We have tried the middle seats and the barrier between the two required two crew members to move it. With the barrier up I found it really enclosed and I kept bumping it with my arms.

Love the Q suites - but as others have said there is poor consistency across the fleet. Wasnt impressed with 787-9 "suite"

Everyone raves about QSuites but there are a LOT of no QSuites plying the skies - even 2x2x2 on otherwise popular routes.

My current trip, only 1 of 4 sectors on QSuites. One is an IB codeshare which will probably be a better hard product than non QSuit seat.

This is why I always start my journey in Adelaide. Much better surety of QSuites than out of Sydney or Melbourne and cheaper and better seat choice later in the period to departure as well.
SYD, your guaranteed QSuite OR Bar…. Both have their advantages!

Yes, I love the bar on the A380. If anyone’s in that bar have have a look at the thickness of the bar’s granite benchtop. Must weigh something incredible.

It looks nice, but honestly I'd rather them do what emirates are up to - getting all their planes into similar configurations first than fragment things even more.

Also 777-9... Who knows when the world will see that flying. At this rate it might even be delayed to 2030s.

Edit: wait they think they can get 777-9 deliveries by late 2025?! . I thought Boeing was stuck trying to fix the MAX problems that the 777X program is stuck behind that.

IMO the biggest improvement is the claim that the seat is "4 inches wider" in bed mode. Unfortunately there's no real comment on where exactly it's wider, and how exactly they're getting this width - the 777X is only 4" wider than the 777, so idk where you'd find an extra 16" of width.

My biggest issue with the QSuite right now is that I find the bed mode (especially the foot cubby) to be meaningfully worse than than other products like Apex Suites, so if it's 4" wider at the narrowest point where your feet go then this is a great improvement.
