I'm off to Europe on May 16. Flying QF MEL-BKK and then QR BKK-MXP and then the reverse on the return. The MEL-BKK return was booked direct with QF and the BKK-MXP direct with QR so they are on different PNR's. The QF flights are in Y and the QR ones in J if that makes any difference (I suspect it doesn't). On the way out we are stopping over at the Novotel in BKK for the night so no need for through check but on the way back we have a 6 hour layover in BKK and it would be nice if we didn't have to go through immi and collect bags and recheck etc. Its just occurred to me that we may have to do this, searching for a definitive answer online hasn't helped so I thought someone here might know for sure. I know QF stopped interlining bags other than for OW and partner airlines and QR aren't OW yet so thought it might be a no-go?
Thanks in advance
