Can earn BA TP’s on Australian domestic flights and if you travel East Coast to Perth regularly it’s a real sweet spot.Hey J, why is it easier to get and retain status on BA than QR

Can't use on E190 services - ie. DRW-ADL-DRW. When this was operated by 737's DRW-ADL was also "sweet"...Can earn BA TP’s on Australian domestic flights and if you travel East Coast to Perth regularly it’s a real sweet spot.
I thought ADL-DRW was still only 40 TP’sCan't use on E190 services - ie. DRW-ADL-DRW. When this was operated by 737's DRW-ADL was also "sweet"...

Oh!Are you talking about redemptions?
You can still redeem BA Avios on QantasLink flights but this may require a phone call.
Yeah - we're all watching in horror...Well, it seems that the QR/QF tiff is getting even worse.
There are now no longer any QR awards (even in Y) for the route I booked a couple of months ago (MEL-MXP) 249 days out even though there are award seats available through JL and VA for that route...
Not all... I do know that what goes around comes around and there have been lots of times when positions have been reversed (and will be again). But for the time being, those of us booking long-haul trips galore with Velocity points are feeling just a little smug...Yeah - we're all watching in horror...
AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements
I can only see relationships between QF and QR souring even further and I suspect this will push QR closer to VA going forwardDo we reckon this will ever get fixed or give it up as a bad job?
I can't see things changing for as long as Qantas is tied up with Emirates.Do we reckon this will ever get fixed or give it up as a bad job?
If you’re referring to flights originating in DOH, that’s always been an issue. Something to do with currencies. But obviously a PITA when searching for reward flights.Doesn't seem that you can even select DOH on the booking engine
Can the DOH-SYD one way flight be booked? The work around is to search a return sectors eg SYD-DOH-SYD.
Yes. Sorry, I meant to add that you have to call…Can the DOH-SYD one way flight be booked?
Availability on VA also so it appears a definite ploy on QR’s behalf.I'm not sure if this has already been reported (@Mattg?), but it appears Qatar have removed access to all business class award seats for Qantas. The 119 day rule no longer appears to apply.
This flight is within 119 days and is no where to be found on QF, but is bookable on AA, BA & CX:

When QF are trying to block more QR slots in Australia I’d also be seeking retribution if I was in charge of QR
I had to book my QR award flight using CX miles. Qantas call centre said they could not see any availability.I'm not sure if this has already been reported (@Mattg?), but it appears Qatar have removed access to all business class award seats for Qantas. The 119 day rule no longer appears to apply.
