Kia ora!
I thought I’d create a thread for any members (and even non-members) that will be travelling to ZQN this winter to ski and après-ski
Social gatherings in other cities are great, but are generally confined to a single day/night, however as people come and go at different times of the season I thought a thread with dates might be of use, to make it easier to see who’s in town when you are.
There are so many bars, restaurants and even mountains too, that suggestions and recommendations as the season progresses could be usefully posted here.
So far Coronet Peak and Snow Farm have opened, The Remarkables is opening on the 19th, Treble Cone on the 24th, Cardrona on the 25th and Snow Park on the 26th.
There’s plenty of snow, and conditions look to be perfect (although there has already been an avalanche in the Back Bowls of Coronet Peak).
Please post dates you’ll be in town below, and if you’re going to be in Wanaka or the surrounding area, good to know too, as it’s only a short drive away.
