Yes, its a small city, lots of weirdos if you get my drift, ... I won't go further into it, you can google search, heh heh.
Truthfully, and no waffly, ADL airport is a very small one.
You will see its more or less around about 1.5 size HBA.

Another potential option when I booked at Atura hotel for an early morning flight I did note they had an option to book a room for day use but don’t know how much extra that would add to your trip but could leave bags in room etc.

And if the thought did enter the mind about catching the (cheaper) public bus, J1/J2, its a pain to buy tickets, as the drivers don't accept cash, you have to buy your ticket off bus, ie, at an AdelaideMetro agent, eg deli or new agency, and then slide ticket onto reader, nothing direction of insertion, etc, not to mention the bus will most likely be quite full.
Would second the uber tip above, if you decide to go that route.

there is a ticket machine at the Airport bus stop where you can purchase with a credit card, day trip or 2 hour tics - see photo montage (and ignore the train lol)

or I did from vague memory thought W H Smith on the concourse sold tics (?)

buses have been rarely full during the daytime although patronage has boosted and masks and QR checkin required

also, didnt know about the carpark baggage lockers but I suppose since I used taxi or bus to the airport I wouldnt have wandered into the carpark.....

WH Smith newsagency got wiped clean of their stuff.
This is for that external booth, they used to have outside the terminal, maybe they have a new store inside the terminal, I was in a rush my last trip, so didnt get the chance to see if they have a store inside the newly modernized side of ADL airport.
They have moved inside, past domestic security screening, just checked.
It became a covid test site, with frosted glass, and keep away signs or something like that.
Yes, the ticketing machine for AdelaideMetro does sell tickets, but is it worth it paying $10.80 (per person) for a daytrip (or higher now), its now $11 per person per daytrip, with a paper ticket, or a metrocard that the OP might not use again?
You can buy 2 hour tickets, but its a pain in the bum, as you have to after buying the ticket from the machine, then enter that ticket in a certain way into the reader on the bus, near the doors, in the right direction, with the black strip facing you, etc.

Yes, same here.
It was mentioned by our colleagues above, but it did not mention location of lockers, in the readable link wording, but the info was probably there if a person went deeper into that website.
Maybe an Uber to Glenelg, and an Uber back to the airport.
About bus ticketing:
$3.90 for a paper off peak per person ticket, you would need 2 per person at least, as they only last 2 hours from first validation, so by 4, its a total of $15.60.
Cannot keep it next to magnetic items, etc.
Have to slide it into reader every validation.

Be very careful with your mask, hand sanitation, social distancing etc at the Atura. It is being used by mining companies to accommodate their FIFO workers from NSW etc while they await covid tests. A couple of weeks ago one tested positive, so the Atura was an exposure site for the period that he was checking in at the desk and moving to his room. His positive test came back about 9 hours after he checked in. Presumably he was then moved to a medi hotel in the CBD but I am not sure about that.
