Quick question ...

I understand that lounge access is available for status flyers when flying with Singapore Air, etc., , but does Platinum status ensure access to first class partner lounges (like it does for Qantas WPs when flying with Cathay, Finnair, etc)?

Thanks.

I think the only F lounge you have access to as VA Plat is EY at AUH.

QR doesn’t allow any other status pax into their J / F lounges only their Gold/Plat lounges
SQ is the SilverKris lounge
UA doesn’t have F and Polaris accessed by flying Int J.

Not sure the others but don’t think there any F lounges really in their partners except for EY/QR/SQ.

QR allow VA plats into the Platinum lounge which is slightly better than the Gold lounge although noting compared to the actual F/J lounges.

Something that hasn't been tested is if VA plats get the same as a QR plat when pointed to the contract lounge. For example at LAX QR plats/first class are sent to the QF first lounge whilst everyone else eligible is sent to the oneworld lounge.

The same applies for Etihad who sometimes send their own first class/platinums to a slightly better lounge.

Just a check on this @Princess Fiona, or maybe it needs clarification from @ferntree about which cabin for the travel.

As a VFF WP (at SIN) I was always sent to the old Krisflyer Gold lounge. Haven’t transited through SIN in Y post Covid, but unless it’s changed, only a J ticket got you SilverKris lounge access. Otherwise off to the gold lounge whether VFF WP or SG.

But then again, if talking about SQ lounges in Australia where there are only SilverKris lounges, you’re perfectly correct.

Either way, doesn’t change your correct statement that WP doesn’t get you F lounge level access except with EY at AUH.

Lounge access is available when the flight you are travelling on is a Singapore Airlines or Silk Air operated flight and the lounge is owned and operated by Singapore Airlines.

At SIN it's the SQ *G lounges for VA WP/SG.

Elsewhere it's the SilverKris lounge for VA WP/SG..
