Hi I went to Europe in business class on all va coded flight numbers but etihad operated. The flights didnt credit automatically so after one month asked them to be manually credited.

I was then va silver and am now gold based on the flights. I got a 25% bonus for flights but was expecting 50% based on booking under va code. Is this correct?

Thanks
Paul

The OP said he was flying on a VA code, which means it should be treated as a VA flight and hence earn a 50% bonus.

I had similar issues around this (though mine was on VA1/2) and Velocity insisted I was incorrect. This is what they told me:

Internationally (including any domestic sectors as part of a international booking) you earn points per the mileage (refer to your itinerary which has this)
You then calculate your bonus points per that mileage.

It's not as straight forward calculating of 50% bonus points of your base points because the base points will differ in line with the fare of class.

So to recap, work out the mileage between airports per itinerary then half it. That will be your bonus point allocation.

Ok that makes sense for example va 7059 auh mel is 7248 miles distance and 3622 bonus points credited
