Looking at booking 2 nights as Gold HH member at the Hilton Cairns for 4th and 5th January 2014 - because I have a Mum with a dodgy heart and have had to cancel bookings before, To secure the room now do I book at the higher refundable rate now and then cancel if the prepaid is still there a few weeks before we go, not sure if anyone has done this, I guess its not a huge saving but all counts..would be interested to hear if anyone has done this before. Have seen some good reviews of this property mainly the location and will come at the end of our trip to Port Douglas where we are in a Best Western for 4 nights so thought this would be a bit more comfortable. Also looking for one night somewhere reasonable at the start of the trip as we arrive into Cairns at about 9.30pm and will take off the next day to Port Douglas.:)

Use corporate code PGLL01 (Little League). This rate is either the same or $1 more expensive than the non-refundable rate - but it's fully refundable and has no eligibility requirements.

Have a look at the Accor sale, they have a good depth of hotels in Cairns.
