Really asking this question out of interest and seeing other people's experience. I can live without lounge for a couple of hours LOL.

I know you are but I have also been in a similar situation before.

I was flying Virgin once when I did not have status and was standing outside the Qantas lounge and almost begged someone for assistance but they were not interested in the slightest. I felt so low I said I was not going to beg or look like begging again.

I have travelled out of BNE a couple of times on non_Oneworld and there is a nice bar to sit down and have a drink and people watch. Drinks are not expensive and better than stuffy Qantas lounge.

Which day are you flying?

Friday night 15th June, think its an 11pm flight. Was partially thinking about checking the guest in thread but am not flying oneworld so won't be doing that. Can always distract myself by plotting a WP requal plan for next year

All this talk of XLB has made me hungry.
I love Xiaolongbao so much I went to Nanxiang, the birthplace of XLB. It is even a bit of a of
Tourist attraction with Dumpling Street. Here is the pic of the statue at the start of Dumpling Street.
Oh and the Old Town is awesome, smells a LOT like XLB... Imagine that!

Oh I was talking about SYD - are you flying out from SYD? I realise I don't think you've mentioned which airport you're flying out from but a lot of other posters started talking about the SYD F lounge so I assumed that was where you were headed. If that is the case then the China Grand restaurant - which is airside - is so good!

oh cough, i am flying out of brisbane. Will have to wait till august to flight out of sydney. Might bring some XLB into F lounge LOL.
